Printing Stephen Colbert's Head

I printed this last weekend on my RepRap eMaker Huxley. With the current settings for PLA, it came out with pretty good resolution. The only thing I can complain about are the slop at the overhangs(chin, hair) and the small bumps that result from the nozzle changing direction. I'll be playing with the settings a bit more. Also trying out ABS.

IT'S ALIVE! 11/11/11

After weeks of building, fixing, and waiting for parts, my RepRap eMaker Huxley #307 is finally online! I made my first successful print last night.

Also, I shot time-lapse video on each day of the build:

Day 1: Frame, Heatbed

Day 2: Extruder, Circuit Board

Day 3: Wiring

First Print!

And here's my third print, a lovable Weighted Companion Cube, designed by emonk:

I think it turned out pretty well for my first big-boy robot.

eMaker Huxley: Ready to Print!

I think I fixed all of the issues, like the thermistors shorting out and broken molex connectors. Next step: Print!

This wiring is incredibly organized (relatively).
