At the 2012 Washington Auto Show
Finally got around to uploading this. Ford had this demo set up to show their newest safety feature. Any thoughts on durability or longevity of this type of system (pets chewing on it, constant flexing with every use)? I think this is a great system, if worn correctly, but I'm curious as to the prospected lifespan.
Maybe it'll have a protective covering like neoprene or something?
ReplyDeleteI expect it to have something like that, but my biggest concern would just be degradation of the plastic fabric with time. For the same reason that Kevlar vests expire.
DeleteIt might have an expiration date on it so that after so much time, it needs to be replaced like a timing belt or a child's safety seat.
